The Mission of Catholics United for the Faith
Proclaiming
Christ to a New Generation
Catholics United for the Faith (CUF) was founded in 1968 to support, defend, and advance the efforts of the teaching Church. Inspired by Vatican II's teaching on the role of the laity, CUF is committed to helping its members grow in holiness and equipping them to bring the light of Christ to others. CUF at all times strives to build up the Church through its unwavering fidelity to and love for Christ and the Church He founded. Through our award-winning magazine, our book publishing house, our toll-free help-line, and internet services, CUF helps thousands of people every month to understand and live out the teaching of the Church and to develop a spiritual life based upon prayer and the sacraments. We also equip Catholics to explain the faith charitably to people who do not understand Catholic teaching. With a membership that has quintupled in the last five years, and with board members like Scripture scholar Scott Hahn and advisors like Archbishop Charles J. Chaput of Denver, CUF is poised to play a significant role in Pope John Paul II's new evangelization. |
